Fuel Procurement Manager
Or client is an independent power generating company focused on managing and operating energy efficient renewable-green power plants.
We have an immediate opening for a Fuel Procurement Manager at their facility located in Hillman, Michigan. We are seeking candidates with the ability to successfully implement and support the strategic biomass procurement program, and negotiate purchase for biomass and alternative fuel supply.
Duties include but not limited to:
Planning, procurement, forecasting, budgeting, contract administration, and quality and quantity control of biomass and alternative fuel supply.
Implementing procurement plans to support current and forecasted biomass needs, negotiating biomass agreements, organizing and scheduling logistics for fuel supply, tracking and ensuring adequate inventory. Developing and maintaining relationships with local fuel suppliers.
Ensures suppliers comply with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures and other compliance programs applicable to delivery of fuel.
Job Requirements:
BS degree in forestry is preferred or 5 years relevant experience, candidates with degrees in engineering, finance, accounting, math or business will also be considered.
Must have strong negotiation and effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with the ability to understand the overall effect of decisions are required.
The incumbent must possess organizational and computer skills.
Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to interact effectively with fuel supplier, plant staff with all levels of management.
Must be able to build strong relationships.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license
