Plant Manager
Our client is an independent power generating company focused on managing and operating energy efficient renewable-green power plants.
We have an immediate opening for a Biomass Plant Manager at their facility located in Hillman, Michigan.
We are seeking candidates with the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of the plant including administration, operations and maintenance, planning and coordinating total power plant operations to meet production schedules and minimize costs.
Duties include but not limited to:
Manages employees performing operations and maintenance, office administration, environmental compliance.
Provide leadership of management, supervision, administrative, operations and maintenance personnel and all sub-contractors, Maintain safe and efficient operations of the facility, including accountability for regulatory compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations Maintain accurate records, reviews logs, datasheets, or reports to ensure adequate production levels and safe production environments or to identify abnormalities with power production equipment or processes.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent, previous work leadership experience including a minimum of 5 years supervisory/managerial experience.
Typically requires minimum of 10
years with a detailed understanding of electrical generation power plants, including operations and maintenance of power plant equipment.
Use of computers and related software applications Knowledge of power plant equipment; safety practices; machinery inspection procedures; basic chemistry principles; power plant processes; theories and principles of power plant operations; basic electrical principles.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude involving the operation and/or maintenance of industrial equipment, preferably the type used in power plants (boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, compressors and fans).
Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's licenseExperience with solid fuel, especially biomass, is preferred.
